20 Feb 2002 Danny, been a long time, wish I didn't have to write you in this place. I will always remember all the things we did together, I will never forget how you took me in and taught me the ropes, thank you for that. The first day I came in country, I was lying down, smoking my last cigar, just staring up at the sky and wondering how this would all unfold, and if I would make it to my DEROS. When you walked over to me and asked where my home-town was, I told you "Syracuse" and I saw that smile on your face. I guess from that time on, we were tight, and because of that I'm here now. Rest easy, Danny, I will always be grateful that we met and I will never forget, God speed good buddy and Semper Fi forever...
