05 Jun 2003 REMEMBERED by his comrades-in-arms from the USMC/Vietnam Helicopter Association This was Scarface's saddest day of 1970. Four lieutenants were lost in a horrific midair that took place as the two AH-1Gs were making their break over the runway. Everyone that was at Marble Mountain Airfield when it happened on 25 March 1970 has a vivid memory of this crash. God Bless them, may they forever rest in peace. Semper Fidelis. George T. 05 Feb 2004 I was a year ahead of Roger at Derby Senior High School and I remember him as a football teammate. He was first string quarterback as a senior and would have been as a junior were he not playing behind the all-state first team QB. A really nice and smart guy. It is amazing that he has been gone for thirty-three years. But in our memories he will always be 17 and straight as a rod. From Derby to college at Valporaiso to the USMC to Viet Nam.
