A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 09 May 1970 elements of the 5th Infantry were operating within NVA/VC sanctuary areas across the Cambodian border. Three soldiers from A Company, 1/5th Infantry, were killed in an engagement about one kilometer northeast of Trapeang Pikar:
