SP5 GEORGE BERKLEY ALGER

 

The official Army Casualty Report states: Individual died from burns received while in an ammunition bunker when the bunker exploded. It was also noted on the report that SP5 Alger was listed as missing from 30 November 1968 until 11 December 1968 when his body was recovered.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Taeko. They had no children. An internet search determined that Taeko may have been involved in Real Estate in the Denver area until her death on January 3, 2002 and they are buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver Colorado.

He was awarded a Bronze Star medal and served in World War II as well as in Vietnam
